What you will do

• Define the vision and strategy for AI engineering to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Design and promote scalable frameworks, patterns, and standards for complex AI systems.
• Provide architectural oversight on high-impact initiatives to ensure robustness and sustainability.
• Mentor senior engineers and leads to build a strong technical pipeline.
• Improve end-to-end GenAI application performance, accuracy, and cost-efficiency.
• Act as a thought partner to leadership, evaluating emerging technologies for responsible adoption.

Requirements

• Mastery of Python and software engineering at scale, including CI/CD and observability.
• Proven track record of architecting scalable AI systems and defining reusable frameworks.
• Deep expertise in large-scale RAG systems and advanced information retrieval architectures.
• Significant experience deploying AI systems across cloud platforms with complex infrastructure.
• Executive presence with the ability to influence strategy at a company-wide level.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Toronto, Canada.
