VP Direct Tax

What you will do

• Oversee global income tax compliance and reporting for approximately 50 entities.
• Take personal responsibility for UK corporation tax returns and HMRC Business Risk Review relationships.
• Manage Pillar 2 global minimum tax compliance and anti-hybrid mismatch positions.
• Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, ensuring robust governance and review.
• Partner with Finance and Treasury teams on tax accounting, cash tax forecasting, and financial statement disclosures.
• Drive continuous improvement in tax processes using tax technology and AI tools.

Requirements

• Must have substantial UK corporate/direct tax compliance experience gained in-house or at a large accounting firm.
• ACA/CTA or equivalent certification is required.
• Proven experience managing HMRC relationships and Business Risk Reviews.
• Strong technical knowledge of tax accounting, tax provisions, and Pillar 2 rules.
• Demonstrable people leadership experience managing teams.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and audit interactions.
