Director, International Communications

What you will do

• Own and scale international communications strategy across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, covering 13 countries.
• Identify and drive market-specific news around expansions, investments, new offices, customer milestones, and partnerships.
• Advise regional and country leaders on PR, social, and internal communications strategy.
• Partner with business leaders, field marketing, and country managers to develop locally relevant stories.
• Manage and mentor international communications leads while coordinating PR agencies across all covered markets.
• Build relationships with regional media and support local coverage while maintaining Databricks' global narrative.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in international, regional, or global communications.
• Experience building regional press strategies and driving coverage across multiple international markets.
• Strong people management experience, including developing communications professionals across international teams.
• Experience managing PR agencies across diverse regions and media landscapes.
• Strong relationship-building skills with senior business leaders and field teams.
• Ability to operate across time zones and cultures, with willingness to travel internationally as needed.
