TL;DR

Senior UX Designer (Robotics): Establishing the design function and vision for Autonomous Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) services with an accent on high-information-density operator tools and fleet monitoring interfaces. Focus on translating complex autonomy concepts into intuitive, real-time interfaces that support safety-critical decision-making for airline and airport stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta; Remote in Frankfurt, Toronto, Vancouver, and the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Define the design vision, principles, and component library for the AGSE service from the ground up.
• Lead end-to-end design for fleet operations products, including remote assistance and dispatch tools.
• Shape customer-facing dashboards, performance reporting, and SLA visibility interfaces.
• Partner with Engineering to ensure design intent is maintained during front-end implementation.
• Conduct user research, including usability testing and contextual inquiry, with airline and airport customers.
• Establish design standards for representing autonomy state and system confidence across all surfaces.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience owning complex, multi-surface products.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in information-dense interfaces and real-time data.
• Proven ability to ship 0 to 1 products in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience establishing design systems or component libraries from scratch.
• Background in designing operator-facing or operations tooling where reliability is critical.
• Exceptional skills in interaction design, visual design, and information architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, aviation, or industrial operations.
• Background as an early design hire at a startup.
• Familiarity with designing for users operating under high cognitive load or time pressure.
• Understanding of how to communicate system confidence and degraded states in interfaces.
