What you will do

• Own end-to-end product design from research to shipped UI for a complex compute platform.
• Mature and maintain the design system, including tokens, components, and patterns for data-rich surfaces.
• Improve the developer experience across consoles, dashboards, onboarding, and documentation.
• Set the visual language, interaction patterns, and quality standards for the entire product.
• Collaborate closely with engineers through implementation and review shipped features.
• Establish design as a core function and eventually help build the design team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing software, specifically for developer tools, infrastructure, or technical B2B products.
• Portfolio demonstrating dense, data-rich UIs such as consoles, dashboards, tables, and logs.
• Proven experience building or shipping major contributions to design systems.
• Ability to ship in ambiguity, moving from rough ideas to high-fidelity products independently.
• Hands-on IC mindset, comfortable working without an established design organization.

Nice to have

• Experience as a first or founding designer at an early-stage startup.
• Background in cloud console, observability, or marketplace product design.
• Experience designing docs, CLI, or API surfaces.
• Ability to prototype in code (HTML/CSS/JS) and use AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
