What you will do

• Develop and evolve the database platform for cloud technologies.
• Ensure high scalability and maintainability of system components.
• Review designs and code to maintain high quality standards.
• Create testing frameworks and tooling for system maintenance.
• Collaborate across teams to remediate database issues.
• Support the migration of infrastructure from VMs to Kubernetes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Excellent Python development experience.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes (experience writing operators is highly desirable).
• Strong experience with MySQL, Cassandra, or similar database technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud services (GCP, Azure).
• Understanding of REST APIs and familiarity with Redis.

Nice to have

• Experience with game development or game engines.
• Experience with large-scale services (millions of concurrent users) and sharding.
• Familiarity with Vitess or Go.
• Previous experience designing tooling for other engineers.
