What you will do

  • Develop high-performance electromagnetic solvers using integral equation methods and Fourier-optical models.
  • Create and maintain software modules for alignment simulations, process modeling, and optical inspection.
  • Design and implement new metrics, models, and algorithms to meet product requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal partners in the Netherlands, the US, and other global locations.
  • Review technical analyses and provide structured feedback to team members.
  • Contribute to product roadmaps and the creation of intellectual property.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in physics, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or computer science.
  • Strong programming knowledge in C++11 and familiarity with Python or MATLAB.
  • Experience with high-performance computing in a Linux environment.
  • Background in developing electromagnetic or similar computational algorithms.
  • Experience designing numerical methods and implementing efficient scientific code.
  • Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under US Export Administration Regulations.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of MPI, OpenMP, or cloud technologies.
  • Experience with machine learning methods.
  • Affinity with developing scalable, iterative, and spectral numerical methods.
