Technical Writer

TL;DR

Technical Writer (Software): Producing formal deliverable documentation, user guides, and training materials for the ARES production program with an accent on government deliverables and agile sprint cycles. Focus on authoring role-based user guides, maintaining deliverable schedules, and creating in-app help content for DoD users.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the US and possess Secret or Top Secret clearance)

What you will do

• Produce technical documentation at each sprint close, including results summaries, requirement coverage, and velocity reports
• Maintain a master deliverable schedule and manage contractual deliverables for submission
• Create in-app tooltip content, help text, and interactive walkthrough scripts
• Author role-based user guides and training materials
• Support agile execution and documentation workflows

Requirements

• Secret or Top Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of experience producing technical documentation for software programs
• Experience producing formal Government deliverables against a PWS/SOO schedule
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Jira
• Experience creating training materials for enterprise software serving DoD users

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DAF aircrew scheduling, stan/eval, or training management mission areas
• Experience with in-app help authoring tools (e.g., Salesforce in-app guidance)
