What you will do

• Design and implement scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop and optimize microservices for high-performance distributed systems.
• Build event-driven architectures and streamline real-time data processing using SQS.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS (Lambda, Step Functions).
• Conduct rigorous unit, integration, and load testing to ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering squads and product owners in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
• Expertise in Python and frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Deep knowledge of microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Octopus).
• Proficiency with databases (Snowflake, DynamoDB, MySQL, MongoDB) and search technologies (Elasticsearch, Solr).
• Must be based in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Exposure to GenAI application development and RAG-based systems.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Java.
