What you will do

• Design and implement scalable architectures for large time-series market and economic datasets.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest, clean, and store structured and unstructured data.
• Optimize data querying, storage formats, and indexing for high-performance analysis.
• Manage and enhance database environments to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with traders and portfolio managers to ensure data is actionable and commercially aligned.
• Contribute to data standards, documentation, and workflow automation.

Requirements

• Recent degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience with market modeling, quantitative research, or data-heavy projects.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of time-series data structures and processing techniques.
• Familiarity with libraries such as pandas and NumPy.
• Must be based in or able to work from the London office.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to a bank, hedge fund, or physical trading environment.
• Familiarity with time-series databases like kdb+, InfluxDB, or TimescaleDB.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong interest in financial markets and trading.
