What you will do

• Lead a team of developers building and supporting financial models for asset modelling, economic capital, and stress testing.
• Translate business and risk requirements into clear technical designs and delivery plans.
• Manage and coach developers working across C++ and Python.
• Improve model production processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, governance, and control.
• Drive the delivery of modelling projects and technology-enabled change initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape and prioritize model enhancements.

Requirements

• Experience leading, coaching, or managing technical teams.
• Strong mathematical, quantitative, or technical background.
• Experience with financial models, valuation algorithms, economic capital, or market credit risk.
• Proficiency in C++ development.
• Experience with Python or the ability to collaborate closely with Python development teams.
• Must be based in the UK (London, Hove, or Cardiff) for hybrid working.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Solvency II / Solvency UK, Internal Model, or Matching Adjustment.
