What you will do

• Lead an engineering organization of 24–25 engineers across three teams, managing both Engineering Managers and direct reports.
• Develop leadership pipelines for Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and senior engineering talent.
• Define and drive the domain's AI adoption strategy to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and operational efficiency.
• Establish and maintain technical, architectural, and delivery standards across the Pay domain.
• Collaborate with Product and Business stakeholders to shape the long-term technology strategy.
• Drive data-driven decision-making by monitoring domain-level KPIs, OKRs, and SLAs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership.
• Proven experience managing Engineering Managers and multi-team organizations.
• Strong technical background in the Java ecosystem (Spring Boot) or equivalent enterprise microservices stack (e.g., .NET/C#).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience operating within large-scale product organizations.
• Experience implementing or scaling AI-enabled engineering practices and tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, digital payments, checkout platforms, or embedded finance.
• Background in regulated crypto fintech (e.g., MiCA, FCA licensing frameworks).
• Experience in technology scale-ups with rapid product and organizational growth.
• Demonstrated impact of AI adoption on developer experience or software quality.
