Senior AI/ML Audio Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and validate advanced audio processing solutions on AI-enabled platforms.
• Optimize AI/ML models for embedded audio systems using quantization and memory footprint reduction.
• Develop audio algorithms for noise reduction, echo cancellation, speech enhancement, and beamforming.
• Implement and validate algorithms using C/C++ and Python for resource-constrained hardware.
• Collaborate with the Automotive Infotainment Development team to deploy next-generation in-vehicle audio technologies.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Neural Network architectures.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent toolchains.
• Solid background in audio signal processing and acoustic analysis.
• Proficiency in software development using C/C++ and Python.
• Understanding of Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and Neural Processing Unit (NPU) fundamentals.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Dresden, Germany

Nice to have

• MSc or PhD in AI, ML, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Signal Processing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive/robotics audio systems or edge AI applications.
• Familiarity with heterogeneous computing architectures and dedicated AI accelerators.
• Knowledge of industrial development standards such as IATF16949 and ISO26262.
