Salary: $103,000 – $155,000

What you will do

• Create and own large-scale environments from block out to final polish.
• Design realistic terrains, biomes, landscapes, and natural ecosystems.
• Build modular environment kits and world-building pipelines for massive open worlds.
• Mentor a team of artists, providing constructive feedback and setting quality bars.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, Leads, and Tech Artists to ensure visual consistency and technical feasibility.
• Optimize assets for performance and memory constraints while maintaining high visual fidelity.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of experience in game environment art with at least 2 shipped titles.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Bellevue, WA office.
• Proficiency in industry tools such as Blender, Substance Suite, Zbrush, and Photoshop.
• Deep knowledge of landscape creation tools like Houdini, World Machine, or Gaea.
• Experience with Unreal Engine, including material and pixel shader creation.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication ability.

Nice to have

• Experience using photo scan data and satellite imagery.
• Expertise in vegetation content creation.
