What you will do

• Oversee the fabrication and integration of battery energy storage enclosures at a contract manufacturer's (CM) facility.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Develop and execute strategies for cost reduction by optimizing material usage and production techniques.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement, test, and validate engineering changes in manufacturing processes.
• Manage relationships with the contract manufacturer to ensure quality and cost standards are met.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing documentation, including process flow diagrams and work instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience within the battery energy storage or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and manufacturing methodologies.
• Proven track record of process improvement and cost reduction.
• Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience working directly with contract manufacturers.
• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and enclosure fabrication.
• Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
