What you will do

• Design and implement robust, testable, high-performance systems and tools using Rust.
• Optimize existing software architectures to enhance speed and efficiency.
• Lead architectural decisions and influence technical strategy across multiple teams.
• Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including debugging and optimization.
• Mentor and develop senior engineers within the Backend Community.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing backend systems at scale in high-performance cybersecurity environments.
• Strong proficiency in Rust with a deep understanding of language design tradeoffs.
• 3+ years of experience with relational databases (Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch).
• 3+ years of experience working with microservices architecture.
• Experience integrating third-party devices and data providers.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale with a focus on reliability.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with IaC tools like Terraform.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Go, or Python in production environments.
