What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable services capable of handling ultra-high throughput.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code in languages such as Go, Scala, Java, C#, or TypeScript.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and optimize system performance.
• Own architectural decisions and contribute to system design reviews.
• Research and integrate AI tooling and LLMs to automate processes and improve developer productivity.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• Must be based in Austin, Texas, and willing to work 4 days in-office weekly.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years in commercial software development.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in modern languages like C#, Go, Java, Scala, or TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience operating code in production.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems and APIs.
• Background in data engineering using Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, or Trino.
• Expertise in MLOps infrastructure and tooling.
• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and observability.
• Knowledge of building and refining Web/Mobile SDKs.
