What you will do

• Perform stress and fatigue analysis to justify structural margins according to NASA certification standards.
• Own the structural substantiation of propulsion components from concept through qualification.
• Collaborate with design engineers to validate mechanical sizing and iterate designs efficiently.
• Develop and support hardware test campaigns to gather analysis inputs and validation data.
• Conduct anomaly investigations and root cause analyses for structural damage or unexpected behavior.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in structural analysis for launch vehicles, spacecraft, or space capsules.
• Proficiency in FEA tools (NASTRAN or equivalent) and strong hand-calculation skills for static and dynamic loads.
• Familiarity with certification standards such as NASA-STD-5001 or ECSS.
• Working knowledge of CAD environments (CATIA, NX, or equivalent).
• Experience supporting test campaigns and performing non-conformance dispositions in a hardware environment.
