Salary: $160,000 - $250,000

What you will do

• Research and deploy cutting-edge object detection and segmentation models for layout analysis and semantic part understanding.
• Build annotation tooling, implement active learning loops, and engineer synthetic data augmentation strategies.
• Develop evaluation frameworks to precisely quantify system behavior and user impact beyond mAP/IoU.
• Collaborate with the ML team to set technical and product roadmaps for the AI platform.
• Optimize model accuracy to drive significant man-year time savings at scale.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of professional experience shipping computer vision models, specifically in detection and segmentation.
• Deep expertise in modern architectures using transformer backbones (ViT, Swin, etc.).
• Strong fluency in Python and PyTorch, including writing custom training loops and loss functions.
• Experience owning production deployment and maintaining endpoint/model health.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual per ITAR regulations.
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing working with manufacturing data.
• Published research, SOTA results on benchmarks, or contributions to open-source frameworks.
• Experience working in high-ownership startup environments.
