Application Engineer II (Analog IC Design and Simulation)

What you will do

• Support customers using hirify.global Virtuoso for analog schematic capture, layout, and productivity improvements.
• Debug circuit behavior and convergence issues with Spectre, SpectreRF, and AMS simulators.
• Apply analog design-flow best practices, including schematic-driven layout, layout-dependent effects, simulation setup, and DC, transient, AC, and noise analysis.
• Collaborate with Application Engineering, R&D, and field teams to reproduce issues, test solutions, and improve product quality.
• Develop technical documentation, examples, and knowledge content to improve customer self-service and tool adoption.
• Contribute to custom solutions and scripting-based automation, identify analog-flow best practices, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in analog, mixed-signal, or RF design and simulation.
• Strong knowledge of analog circuits, CMOS device operation, feedback systems, noise, mismatch, and semiconductor process technologies.
• Hands-on experience with circuit simulation and analysis, EDA environments, and Linux-based workflows.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with RF simulation concepts such as HB, PSS, QPSS, and derivatives.
• Exposure to analog verification methodologies and statistical analysis techniques.
• Experience with SKILL, Python, or TCL scripting.
• Familiarity with layout, extraction, LVS, and DRC flows.
• Experience supporting advanced-node design projects.
