What you will do

• Own long-term utility development strategy across East and West regions, aligning with site selection and load forecasts.
• Lead and develop regional Directors of Utility Development to ensure consistent standards and best practices.
• Manage senior-level engagement with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and regulators regarding interconnection and service agreements.
• Develop strategy for securing diverse, redundant fiber connectivity and negotiate with carriers and dark fiber providers.
• Partner with Construction, Finance, and Legal teams to align utility milestones with project schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15+ years of experience in utility or infrastructure development, including people leadership.
• Must be based in the US.
• Deep knowledge of utility interconnection processes and regulatory environments.
• Proven success leading multi-region teams for complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience negotiating fiber connectivity and commercial structures (IRUs).

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with hyperscale data center utility development.
• Familiarity with water and sewer utility coordination.
