What you will do

• Perform incoming, periodic, and preventive maintenance inspections on medical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair medical device malfunctions to determine root causes.
• Install, calibrate, and test equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Manage medical equipment inventory and assets following VA procedures.
• Document all maintenance and inspection activities within the VA electronic system.
• Provide training to staff on proper equipment use and safety protocols.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.
• Minimum of five years of hospital or healthcare experience in medical equipment maintenance.
• Associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Demonstrated competency in operational verification, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and International Standard Organization standards.
