A/R Supervisor (Analytical Technologist)

Location: In person at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware

What you will do

• Provide analytical support for research and development, Technical Service and Development, and manufacturing activities.
• Prepare samples, reagents, and standards according to established procedures.
• Acquire X-ray diffraction, X-ray tomography, and electron microscopy data and assess basic data quality.
• Prepare sample cross-sections using ultramicrotomy and operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Perform routine nuclear magnetic resonance refills and safely handle cryogenic materials and systems.
• Dispose of laboratory waste in accordance with established protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in chemistry, materials science, physics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge gained through on-the-job training.
• Strong sample preparation skills and experience handling chemicals safely.
• Experience using varied laboratory equipment in a chemical laboratory setting.
• Commitment to laboratory safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a team under tight timelines and competing priorities.
• Ability to work in person in Wilmington, Delaware.
