Process Development Associate Scientist (Biotech)

What you will do

• Perform sample preparation, analytical testing, method development, and product and process characterization.
• Use infrared, circular dichroism, UV-visible spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry for biophysical and thermal stability analysis.
• Characterize protein higher-order structure and aggregation-related attributes in biologics.
• Conduct comparability and similarity studies, technology development, and non-routine investigations.
• Analyze and interpret complex data, troubleshoot experiments, prepare technical reports and presentations, and develop acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with scientists across multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams while adapting to changing priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or an associate’s degree plus two years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus four years of relevant experience in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, physics, or a related field.
• Two or more years of experience in biophysical characterization of proteins, including hands-on spectroscopic and biophysical techniques.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC systems for protein separation and characterization.
• Strong laboratory, analytical, experimental design, data interpretation, and laboratory documentation skills.
• Experience developing, qualifying, or validating analytical methods and establishing acceptance criteria for comparability and similarity studies.
• Strong technical communication, collaboration, prioritization, and independent working skills.
