What you will do

• Design and build reusable feature datasets to support personalization, engagement, and risk prediction models.
• Partner with Data Scientists and AI Engineers to translate modeling requirements into production-ready pipelines.
• Lead architecture discussions for large-scale ML data systems and drive adoption of reusable patterns.
• Optimize distributed data processing for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Establish engineering standards for data quality, testing, observability, and documentation.
• Mentor engineers on distributed data processing and software engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building large-scale production data platforms and distributed pipelines.
• Must be based in the USA.
• Expert SQL skills and strong experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
• Proven experience with cloud-native data platforms (AWS) and distributed compute frameworks like Spark.
• Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives and influencing engineering direction.
• Strong understanding of ML data lifecycle, feature stores, and MLOps workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare, behavioral, or large-scale event data.
• Familiarity with Lakehouse architectures (Databricks, Iceberg).
• Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink).
• Background in personalization, recommendation, or predictive modeling systems.
