Salary: $176,000 — $270,600 USD

What you will do

• Design and evolve high-scale data solutions and reference architectures to simplify data access across the organization.
• Develop data quality frameworks, monitoring, anomaly detection, and lineage tracking for externally reported metrics.
• Drive adoption of consistent data modeling patterns, naming conventions, and metric governance standards.
• Lead cross-functional technical initiatives across data verticals to harden data systems and accelerate delivery.
• Implement data contracts and schema evolution practices to ensure reliability across global product teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and foster a culture of engineering excellence and data-driven decision making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, including a proven track record in senior or lead capacities.
• Deep expertise in product behavioral data engineering, specifically telemetry data and product lifecycle metrics.
• Expert-level proficiency with SQL, ETL/ELT tools (Airflow, dbt), and MPP databases (Snowflake, Redshift).
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, EMR, ECR, and EKS.
• Deep experience designing lakehouse architectures (Databricks) and using modern file formats (Iceberg, Delta).
• Must be based in one of the specified US office locations (Bellevue, Chicago, San Francisco, or Washington DC).
