TL;DR

Regional CEM Coordinator (CEMS): Provide regional technical and compliance oversight for Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) across multiple facilities with an accent on QA/QC execution, audit readiness, and regulatory defensibility of emissions data. Focus on coordinating audits and RATAs, maintaining system reliability through preventive/corrective maintenance, and managing CEMS hardware/software changes with documented regulatory impact.

Location: Works from home Ontario (CAN); flexible—based at or near a hirify.global TTF facility

Salary: $105,200.00 - $139,900.00 CAD per annum

What you will do

  • Oversee regional QA/QC for CEMS and associated Data Acquisition Systems (DAS), ensuring calibration drift checks, documentation, and maintenance records are accurate and compliant.
  • Coordinate audit activities (quarterly cylinder gas audits, opacity audits, and annual RATAs) and provide on-site technical supervision during audits.
  • Review and implement preventive/corrective maintenance strategies to maximize CEMS reliability and data availability, including spare parts inventory management.
  • Lead change management for CEMS hardware/software/DAS configuration updates, ensuring proper documentation, regulatory impact review, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Conduct semi-annual on-site inspections to verify system configuration, maintenance practices, and documentation accuracy.
  • Deliver regional status reports and escalate issues that could affect system accuracy, data availability, or scheduled regulatory testing; support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with CEMS, analytical instrumentation, or emissions compliance systems (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of CEMS regulations, QA/QC requirements, and audit processes.
  • Experience with DAS validation, emissions data review, and documentation practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data review and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and influence across multiple facilities without direct line authority.
