What you will do

• Design secure, scalable cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure including infrastructure, PaaS, networking, identity, and security.
• Architect performant data pipelines and governance for large volumes of reinsurance and market data.
• Build proofs of concept and prototypes to validate designs and support technical decisions.
• Define and govern third-party integrations using API-first and event-driven patterns with canonical data models.
• Embed security and compliance from the outset, including zero-trust principles and data residency.
• Lead engineering efforts and set standards across a greenfield technology estate.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in New York, USA for onsite work
• 10+ years of experience with 4+ years in solution architecture, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Strong programming skills in C#/.NET or Python, with SQL and modern UI frameworks (React or Angular with TypeScript).
• Deep expertise in Azure infrastructure, platform services, and CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with architectural patterns such as microservices, event-driven, API-led, and domain-driven design.
• Strong grounding in security architecture and compliance for regulated financial services.
• English: C1+ required

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI-enabled solutions and familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
