What you will do

• Own the end-to-end management of patient clinical complaints and incident triage.
• Make high-level decisions on involving legal counsel, clinical directors, and executive leadership.
• Manage engagement with the Patient Safety Organization (PSO) and ensure adherence to quality privilege principles.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical root-cause analyses and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Coach clinicians on empathetic, transparent communication strategies following incidents.
• Perform regular clinical chart audits to identify systemic process gaps and risk vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in clinical risk management within a healthcare setting.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Strong understanding of clinical risk protocols and medical-legal frameworks like the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act.
• Proven skills in patient relations and de-escalating high-tension situations.
• Exceptional communication skills for remote collaboration via video conferencing and JIRA.

Nice to have

• Dual qualification as both a Juris Doctor (JD) and Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience with outpatient imaging or MRI services.
• Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure.
