What you will do

• Design and execute critical software projects from conception through launch and operation.
• Own the stability, performance, and scalability of tier 0 backend services processing billions of emails.
• Collaborate with R&D teams including Detection, Products, and Infrastructure to align service requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain the reliability and uptime of mission-critical systems.
• Identify opportunities to enhance system efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
• Contribute to engineering excellence through knowledge sharing and professional development.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to access controlled technology under U.S. export control laws (EAR).
• BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in backend software development and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python.
• Experience building and operating features from scratch in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong asynchronous and written communication skills for distributed team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services and deployment practices.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Django, Spark, and Prometheus.
• Knowledge of containerization using Docker.
