What you will do
- Take end-to-end responsibility for building and optimizing data pipelines on GCP.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure using a DevOps mindset.
- Design data products that adhere to high standards for security, scalability, and observability.
- Collaborate with product managers to define data product vision and identify business opportunities.
- Partner with cross-domain teams to facilitate data sharing within a data mesh context.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering practices and actively reduce technical debt.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data engineering and cloud infrastructure management.
- Strong proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with DevOps practices, including Terraform and CI/CD pipeline management.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and observable data products.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with product teams and stakeholders.
- English proficiency required for all documentation and communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with GCP services such as Cloud Run.
- Exposure to large-scale processing frameworks like Spark, Beam, or Hive.
- Familiarity with data formats including Avro, Parquet, Iceberg, or Hudi.
- Experience using DBT for production data transformation.
- Knowledge of modern data governance and cataloging practices.
