What you will do

• Coordinate and maintain AIT facility equipment, including procurement and calibration.
• Perform mechanical and electrical integration of complex optical payloads and subassemblies.
• Execute optical subsystem alignment and support radiometric and geometric characterization.
• Install and route instrumentation such as accelerometers, thermocouples, and heaters.
• Perform advanced electrical integration tasks including harness assembly and signal verification.
• Ensure strict documentation, traceability, and non-conformance reporting for all AIT activities.

Requirements

• Technical education (vocational or diploma) in mechatronics, aerospace, mechanical, or electronic systems.
• Several years of experience in AIT, manufacturing, or integration of complex systems.
• Strong experience in mechanical assembly, optical alignments, and electrical integration.
• Solid knowledge of cleanroom operations, ESD handling, and quality standards.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Must be eligible for security clearance (restricted to NATO member state nationals).

Nice to have

• Experience with optical payloads and opto-mechanical systems.
• Certification in IPC standards (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001).
• Experience with environmental test campaigns like vibration and thermal vacuum.
• Proficiency in German language.
