What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend services for rate engines, discounting logic, and billing integrations.
• Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Partner with Product, Finance, and Sales teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices for code quality and performance.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers to foster technical excellence.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance to meet SLA targets.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have refugee/asylee status (ITAR compliance).
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend systems.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with pricing, billing, or financial systems.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C#.
• Strong experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and API design (REST/gRPC).
