Network Operations Engineer (SDN): Maintaining and optimizing hirify.global's next-generation global network with an accent on L3 support, routing protocols, and network automation. Focus on resolving complex customer incidents, managing network capacity, and ensuring high scalability and resilience of elastic services.

Location: Hybrid (Three days a week in the Brisbane office)

What you will do

• Perform operations and maintenance of the next-generation network.
• Resolve major network incidents and provide Level 3 customer support.
• Manage network capacity, including forecasting, planning, and deployment.
• Implement and maintain monitoring for network equipment.
• Evaluate, test, and certify new network hardware and software.
• Collaborate with Engineering on network enhancement projects.

Requirements

• Proven background in network incident resolution, deployment, and maintenance.
• Production experience with ISIS, BGP, MPLS Traffic Engineering, and MPLS L2/L3 VPN.
• Experience operating optical networks, specifically DWDM and ROADM systems.
• Proficiency with Juniper, Cisco, and Nokia hardware platforms.
• Experience managing hardware installations and fiber optics patching in 3rd party data centers.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Brisbane office 3 days a week.

Nice to have

• Linux OS experience.
• Coding experience in Perl or Python.
