Accountant (Finance)

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end ASC 718 accounting for global equity programs from grant to settlement.
• Prepare expense calculations, valuations, and financial statement schedules for disclosure and proxy reporting.
• Execute SOX controls and reconciliation procedures while maintaining system integrations between equity platforms and the general ledger.
• Collaborate with HR Compensation, Treasury, Legal, and Payroll teams on compliance matters.
• Analyze accounting impacts of program changes and support forecasting for compensation expenses.
• Identify automation opportunities to support finance transformation and scalable process development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly ASC 718.
• Experience with monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model from the Penang, Malaysia site.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in stock-based compensation accounting.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and equity platforms.
• CPA certification or currently pursuing it.
• Experience with SOX controls and audit support.
