What you will do

  • Design and optimize gas turbine static and rotary systems, including compressors, turbines, shafts, and bearing systems.
  • Define assembly procedures and execute Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) tasks.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings and establish manufacturing guidelines.
  • Perform FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) to ensure safety and operability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide constructive feedback on designs and simulations.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.

Requirements

  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-15+ years of experience in gas turbine propulsion, mechanical design, and heat transfer.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Solidworks, Siemens NX, or similar.
  • Experience with PLM tools like Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar.
  • Knowledge of FEA or lower-order simulation methods.
  • English: Fluent (C1) required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in programming using C, Matlab/Simulink, or similar.
  • Experience with FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, & Corrective Action System) activities.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art materials, aerodynamics, and structural mechanics.
