What you will do

• Lead the prototyping function to deliver test units and pilot runs aligned with engineering timelines.
• Drive knowledge transfer and industrialization readiness between engineering and manufacturing sites.
• Define prototype build plans, gates, and entry/exit criteria for resources and test readiness.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to capture lessons learned and drive DFM/DFA improvements.
• Manage the prototype build system, including configuration control, build records, and traceability.
• Coach and manage a team of mechanical and electronic prototyping technicians.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in prototyping or NPI environments, preferably with electro-mechanical or electronics products.
• Proven track record in leading early builds and transitioning prototypes to pilot or serial production.
• Strong expertise in technical documentation, configuration control, and change management (ECR/ECN).
• Experience coordinating multi-site knowledge transfer and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in high-reliability or regulated environments such as defense or aerospace.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with traceability and audit readiness standards.
