Salary: $10,155.00 - $15,842.17 CAD Monthly

What you will do
- Provide strategic direction and professional engineering services to reduce risk and increase compliance for project delivery groups.
- Perform detailed design reviews of mechanical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection) created by external consultants to identify deficiencies.
- Conduct mechanical feasibility and conceptual studies for proposed university projects, including risk assessment and preliminary recommendations.
- Maintain and update the Technical Guidelines for mechanical systems through collaboration with stakeholders.
- Act as the Owner's Representative during commissioning and handover of new projects to Operations.
- Provide technical expertise for specialized research needs such as clean rooms, fume hood exhaust systems, and ultra-pure water systems.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience in architectural, planning, or construction projects.
- Eligibility for membership in a professional engineering Institute or Association.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite at the Vancouver Campus.
- Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Nice to have
- Professional experience within the construction sector, specifically with institutional buildings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with enterprise maintenance management systems.
- Experience working within a unionized environment.
