What you will do

• Provide strategic direction and professional engineering services to reduce risk and increase compliance for project delivery groups.
• Perform detailed design reviews of mechanical systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection) created by external consultants to identify deficiencies.
• Conduct mechanical feasibility and conceptual studies for proposed university projects, including risk assessment and preliminary recommendations.
• Maintain and update the hirify.global Technical Guidelines for mechanical systems through collaboration with stakeholders.
• Act as the Owner's Representative during commissioning and handover of new projects to Operations.
• Provide technical expertise for specialized research needs such as clean rooms, fume hood exhaust systems, and ultra-pure water systems.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience in architectural, planning, or construction projects.
• Eligibility for membership in a professional engineering Institute or Association.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite at the hirify.global Vancouver Campus.

Nice to have

• Professional experience within the construction sector, specifically with institutional buildings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with enterprise maintenance management systems.
