What you will do

• Lead the development and execution of risk-based internal audit plans for assigned business and risk areas.
• Manage a portfolio of audits, ensuring delivery to time and quality standards while collaborating with third-party experts.
• Provide actionable insights and independent advice to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Represent the Internal Audit function at governance forums and Unit Audit and Risk Committees.
• Drive strategic initiatives to improve audit processes and methodologies.
• Mentor and develop Audit Managers to support their career growth and team performance.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading risk-based audits covering compliance, operational, and technology risks in a complex, regulated organization.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Proven leadership experience in coaching and developing audit professionals.
• Ability to interpret complex information and provide practical, risk-based recommendations.
• Must be able to work from the Birmingham or London office three days per week.

Nice to have

• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of governance, risk, and control frameworks.
• Experience with large-scale business transformation or technology change programs.
