What you will do

• Assess existing design systems, processes, and operating models for enterprise clients.
• Define design system strategies, roadmaps, governance models, and adoption plans.
• Design and build scalable systems including components, patterns, foundations, and documentation.
• Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure effective implementation across design and code.
• Leverage AI and emerging technologies to optimize system creation, maintenance, and evolution.
• Guide teams through adoption challenges and contribute to thought leadership within the studio.

Requirements

• Must be based in Portugal.
• Deep expertise in design systems and scalable product design.
• Experience building and governing systems used across multiple teams or business units.
• Strong understanding of component architecture, design tokens, and accessibility.
• Proven ability to work effectively with both designers and engineers.
• Strong consulting and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Active experience using AI in day-to-day design practice.
• Portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and system-level problem solving.
