What you will do

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a world-class team of data scientists, providing technical mentorship and career development.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and power system experts to translate business goals into data science roadmaps.
• Oversee data pipelines, define core performance metrics, and ensure data integrity across multi-stage ML processes.
• Drive a scalable data annotation strategy and standardize A/B testing and experimental frameworks.
• Communicate complex findings and strategic recommendations to senior executives to drive business value.

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field with 8+ years of experience in tech or energy.
• 5+ years of experience managing high-performing data science and analytics teams.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and ML frameworks.
• Experience with electric power grid data and a physics-based understanding of electrical networks.
• Expertise in multivariate analysis, stochastic models, and sampling methods.
• Must be based in the US (Mountain View, CA) to support a hybrid work model.
