Release & Deployment Manager- Federal Health

What you will do

• Develop enterprise release strategies, deployment schedules, release calendars, and implementation plans across multiple project workstreams.
• Coordinate releases across engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, testing, cloud operations, and Government stakeholders.
• Lead release planning meetings, deployment readiness reviews, and production go/no-go decisions.
• Manage production deployments, cutover planning, rollback procedures, post-deployment validation, and issue resolution.
• Maintain release documentation, deployment procedures, implementation records, and operational runbooks.
• Track release metrics, implementation performance, risks, dependencies, and lessons learned while promoting DevSecOps, automation, CI/CD, and release management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Five years of experience managing enterprise software releases, deployments, or implementation activities.
• Experience coordinating production releases across multiple technical teams in complex IT environments.
• Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, SAFe, DevSecOps, CI/CD, or hybrid software development methodologies.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, Git, Jenkins, or similar release management and collaboration tools.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• ITIL Foundation, PMP, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting cloud-based implementations, including AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.
• Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other Federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or Federal program management.
