What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain Golang infrastructure services, primarily as Kubernetes operators.
• Develop the Confluent Cloud PaaS to enable streaming applications for customers worldwide.
• Ensure the availability, performance, monitoring, and capacity planning of the Confluent cloud.
• Optimize the architecture and operational design of large-scale systems covering tens of thousands of instances.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver cloud foundations and infrastructure services.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C++, or other statically typed languages.
• Relevant experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud networking.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems.
• Solid understanding of basic systems operations, including disk, network, and operating systems.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Golang.
• Experience using Apache Kafka.
