Sr. Engineer, Cloud (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Sr. Engineer, Cloud (Go/Cloud): Building and optimizing cloud security products to monitor and protect cloud-native workloads with an accent on distributed systems and large-scale backend engineering. Location: Hybrid in New York, NY (requiring 2-3 days per week on-site)

Salary: $140,000 - $215,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications.
• Build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence production at a global scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and build security features.
• Continuously re-evaluate product architecture, knowledge models, and stability to improve user experience and performance.
• Mentor other developers on backend development and data storage technologies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in backend and systems programming (Go, Python, NodeJS, Java, or C#).
• Deep knowledge of cloud internals (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-based architectures at scale.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Must be based in or able to work from the New York, NY office on a hybrid basis.

Nice to have

• Contributions to the open-source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging).
• Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence field.
• Experience with AI-powered developer tools.
• Hands-on experience with Go, AWS, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
