Cost / Financial Analyst-Federal Health

Location: Remote; supports a federal healthcare modernization initiative for U.S. Veterans.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, financial forecasts, and resource plans throughout the program lifecycle.
• Monitor expenditures, burn rates, labor utilization, and program performance against approved budgets.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, executive dashboards, performance metrics, executive briefings, and customer financial reporting.
• Analyze cost, schedule, and resource variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Support Contract Work Breakdown Structure planning, financial reporting, project forecasting, and earned value management activities when applicable.
• Partner with Program Managers, Project Managers, technical leads, and Government stakeholders to improve financial visibility, resource allocation, program planning, reporting accuracy, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Three years of experience supporting financial management, budgeting, cost analysis, or project controls for complex programs.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Experience supporting project budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and executive reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or federal program management.
• Earned Value Management experience.
