Market Finance Lead (Medicare Advantage)

Location: Remote/work at home anywhere in the United States; preference for candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone. Occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $104,000–$143,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop recurring and ad hoc financial analyses, dashboards, and reports to identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement actions.
• Support Medicare Advantage bid strategy, plan design, product positioning, and competitive analysis with Product, Actuarial, and divisional partners.
• Partner with Corporate Finance on monthly capitation accruals, forecasting, variance analysis, and the monthly financial close process.
• Translate business needs into data and reporting requirements, including data definitions, specifications, and analytical models.
• Improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability through reporting automation, process standardization, and enhanced analytical tools.
• Present findings to finance and non-finance audiences, build cross-functional relationships, and support operational decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, business analytics, or related finance roles.
• Experience in insurance, managed care, or Medicare Advantage.
• Strength in trend analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to convert complex data into actionable business insights.
• Experience using data to drive decisions, improve business performance, and support operational leaders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, charts, and complex financial analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience in people leadership.
• Familiarity with CMS bid mechanics, bid tools, benefit configuration, and product positioning.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, Snowflake, or other data/query tools.
• Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase or similar financial planning and reporting tools.
