What you will do
- Undergo a bespoke Short Term Portfolio Management training program to gain expert knowledge of European power and gas markets.
- Optimize portfolios and execute trades based on fundamental supply and demand analysis.
- Manage deviations of wind and solar production to boost PnL for renewables portfolios.
- Monitor system health and contribute new trading ideas to automated short-term power trading strategies.
- Operate physical gas asset portfolios, including scheduling and booking for storages and cross-border capacities.
- Manage market and operational risks while working on a shift rotation (including weekends and nights).
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Berlin, Germany
- English: Fluent (C1) written and spoken skills are required
- Proficiency in Python coding (mandatory; tested during interviews).
- University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or another quantitative subject.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrable knowledge of European power and/or gas markets.
