What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical direction of the agent layer to support the Streams model.
• Design scalable architectures and implement new technologies to boost system performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product management to prioritize features and gather requirements.
• Coordinate efforts across multiple teams to mitigate risks and align project plans with business priorities.
• Produce high-quality design documents and ADRs to drive consensus on technical decisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Principal Engineer on systems-level software projects at scale.
• Deep knowledge of observability data collection (metrics, logs, traces) and protocols like OTLP and Prometheus.
• Solid background in Go.
• Experience designing management and control planes for distributed software (e.g., OpAMP).
• Track record of leading large, multi-team technical initiatives from ambiguous design to shipped software.
• Must be based in Spain (per location specification).

Nice to have

• Direct experience with hirify.global Agent, Fleet, Beats, or OpenTelemetry collector internals.
• Knowledge of pipeline execution models (Streamlang, Logstash, Fluent, etc.).
• Experience with IaC tooling such as Terraform or CloudFormation for agent deployment.
• Contributions to open-source projects in the observability or agent ecosystem.
• Experience with cross-platform testing across Linux, Windows, MacOS, and Kubernetes.
