What you will do

• Own the architecture and set the technical direction for the agent layer to support the Streams model.
• Design scalable architectures and implement new technologies to improve system performance.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product management to prioritize features and requirements.
• Coordinate efforts across teams to mitigate risks and align project plans with business priorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technical lead or principal engineer on agent or systems-level software at scale.
• Deep knowledge of observability data collection (metrics, logs, traces) and protocols such as OTLP, Prometheus, and syslog.
• Strong proficiency in Go.
• Experience designing management and control planes for distributed software, particularly protocol-driven approaches like OpAMP.
• Ability to lead large, multi-team technical initiatives from design to shipping.
• Excellent written communication skills for producing design docs and ADRs.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with hirify.global Agent, Fleet, Beats, or OpenTelemetry collector internals.
• Knowledge of pipeline execution models and processing languages like Streamlang or Logstash.
• Experience with cross-platform testing across Linux, Windows, MacOS, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Contributions to open-source projects in the observability ecosystem.
