Location: Based in Portugal, relocation to the Netherlands required

What you will do

• Create and develop 3D models for superyacht exterior components.
• Translate design concepts into practical, manufacturable engineering solutions.
• Engineer exterior parts such as railings, sliding door systems, sunshade systems, masts, decorative elements, and exterior panels.
• Check technical feasibility, quality, cost efficiency, and production requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure exterior systems fit the overall yacht design.
• Support production and suppliers with clear technical information, identify technical risks, and propose improvements.

Requirements

• Technical education (e.g., Curso Técnico Superior Profissional, Licenciatura, Mestrado) or comparable experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial product design, shipbuilding/marine engineering, yacht exteriors/interiors, metal structures (aluminium/stainless steel), or high-end custom engineering.
• Strong experience with 2D and 3D CAD; experience with SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, Inventor, Siemens NX, CATIA, or Fusion 360 (or similar).
• Strong understanding of manufacturability, materials, and technical detailing; strong eye for shape, finish, and visual quality.
• Good English communication skills.
• Must be based in Portugal and be willing to relocate to the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Willingness to learn Dutch over time (Dutch not required).
